This listing is the condensing unit (outdoor section) only. It pairs with the DS025 fan coil, or the CS025 and CS025 Serving Temp ceiling mount fan coils, sold separately, or order the complete DS025 system.
The DS025 condensing unit is the outdoor half of Wine Guardian's Sentinel Series ducted split system. Wine Guardian designed it to work with its own fan coil, in an anodized aluminum enclosure, and it ships with a factory holding charge of R-134a.

- Moving compressor heat and noise outside the home.
- Climates down to 20°F with the standard unit, or down to -20°F with the Extreme Climate Protection option.
- Projects with a refrigeration contractor lined up.
Not the right fit if
- You want a plug in install. The condensing unit is hardwired and the lines are charged on site by a technician certified to handle refrigerant.
- There is no 208 to 230 V circuit for it.
- The line run would exceed 50 equivalent feet or 15 feet of lift.
- Winters run below 20°F and you choose the standard model. Wine Guardian requires Extreme Climate Protection for continuous operation below 20°F.
Installation requirements
- Outdoors on a level concrete slab above normal snowfall, on the side of the house, or in a crawl space, attic or mechanical room at least 3 times the size of the cellar.
- 12 inches clear on every side for airflow and service, level within 1/4 inch end to end.
- Hardwired 208 to 230 V, 1 phase, 60 Hz (MCA 4.2 A, MOP 7 A, minimum 16 AWG copper wire).
- Power it 24 hours before start-up to warm the compressor. Wine Guardian does not cover a compressor failure caused by skipping this step.

Common questions
Do I need Extreme Climate Protection? Wine Guardian requires it for continuous operation below 20°F. It lets the system run down to -20°F and adds an anti-corrosion coating to the condenser coil.
What is inside? A filter drier, sight glass, high and low pressure switches, contactor, crankcase heater and low ambient controls are factory installed. The technician checks the refrigerant charge on site for the actual line length.
What does the warranty cover? Parts for 25 months and labor for 13 months from the original invoice, for the original buyer. Labor is covered only with Wine Guardian approval before work starts.
