Overview

Cellar cooling sized to the room, not guessed from floor area.

The Breezaire WKSL 4000 is a split system: a fan coil mounts inside the cellar and a separate condenser goes outside it or in another room, joined by copper refrigerant lines. Both modules are included, and Breezaire rates the system for wine cellars up to 1,000 cubic feet built to its construction guidelines.

Best for

Cellars of about 650 to 1,000 cubic feet, per Breezaire's sizing guide.
Rooms with no suitable wall for a through the wall unit.
Moving the warm exhaust up to 50 feet of line away from the cellar.
Projects with a refrigeration technician lined up.

Not the right fit if

You want a plug in install. R134A refrigerant is charged on site.
The line would run over 50 feet. Breezaire subtracts 10 feet per hard 90 degree bend.
The condenser cannot get 1 foot of clearance on every side, 3 feet in front of its exhaust, shade and flood protection.
The cellar has glass doors or windows. Breezaire's sizing does not account for glass.

Installation requirements

Fan coil within 6 inches of the ceiling, fixed into solid wall, 3 feet of open airflow in front.
Condenser on a solid foundation, 1 foot clear on all sides.
Copper lines, 1/4 inch liquid and 3/8 inch suction, suction insulated. Breezaire recommends a licensed refrigeration technician.
Both modules on 115 V from a GFCI outlet on its own circuit. Below 20°F condenser air, add a crankcase heater or fan speed control.

Is everything included? Both modules, plus a sight glass and strainer/dryer as separate pieces. Your technician runs the copper lines.

Will it cool my room? Breezaire's sizing assumes a cellar built to its guidelines, and Breezaire states it cannot warrant that a unit will cool a particular room. Send us the size and construction and we will check.

What does the warranty cover? All components for 1 year, for the original buyer in the US. Breezaire registers it when its WKSL Install Questionnaire is returned; the installation is warranted by the installer.

What are the exact dimensions of this product?

Full dimensions are listed in the product description above. For wine fridges, follow the ventilation clearances in the product manual. Do I need a professional for installation?

Most W Series and Evolution wine racks are DIY-friendly with standard tools such as a drill, level, and the correct wall anchors. Concrete or tile walls may require a professional, and every kit includes an installation guide.
Freestanding wine fridges usually need only to be placed, leveled, plugged in, and set to temperature. Built-in models must follow the ventilation clearances in the product manual. If you need in-home placement beyond curbside delivery, contact us to arrange it.

How does delivery work?

What bottle sizes fit?

All products on Wine Majesty are designed to accommodate standard Bordeaux and Burgundy-style bottles (the two most common shapes). Champagne and sparkling wine bottles fit in all units. If you collect primarily magnums or large-format bottles, contact us before ordering to confirm compatibility.
